I've been so lazy about posting these days but I swear I have Reasons. We bought a house!! Well, we don't close until the end of March, but
still. The contract is signed and things are underway. A house! It's in our favorite neighborhood and was built in 1950, a little brick ranch. It has everything we wanted. Right now we're set to move in June after our lease ends, and obviously I'm going to have tons to post about then, because we can DO WHATEVER WE WANT. Change the appliances! Plant things! Paint without having to get
approval! And the best one:
no more carpet ever again! The dogs will have an actual yard to run in circles until they pass out from happy. We're already planning so many projects. We want to make a big farmhouse table and built-in bookshelves. So many things!
In the meantime though, here are my current favorite Oliver pictures (that was not a very good segue, but there you go). At the beginning of the year I decided to take one photo of him a day for the entire year-- it sounds dramatic but isn't that much of a stretch, since I take lots of photos every day anyway. I have so many to choose from that my favorites are constantly changing. It's going to be so hard to pick out which ones to frame!
congratulations on the house! so exciting! i love the january 31 pic.
ReplyDeleteThank you!! And yes I looove that one. :)
DeleteWhat a cutie!!! :) I just love all the baby faces. ;)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the house!!! A mid-century ranch (with hardwood floors! ;) ) is my dream house. You are going to have so much fun being able to do what you want, when you want, and how you want!!! :D I am so over being a renter, but we're kind of stuck with my husband's job moving us every few years. lol. One day!
Oh man, I am SO INTO mid-century mod houses/furniture/everything right now! Ours isn't totally that classic '50s-'60s ranch style-- since it was built in 1950 it's more of a ranch/bungalow blend (it has the arched doorways) but still! I can totally see you in a time capsule ranch. :D And HEY the best thing about renting is being able to make lots of dream plans for your future house! That's what we've been doing forever.
DeleteHe´s so cute!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAwww thank you!! <3 I think so too but I'm a little biased! Ahah.
DeleteCongrats on your house! How exciting. Also, not that you didn't already know this but that baby is ADORABLE. I am squealing from cuteness. Take as much time to yourself as you need. The first year of your little one's life is SO fun but also such an adjustment.I remember feeling completely overjoyed and completely overwhelmed for much of it. Things did settle in nicely though. xo
ReplyDeleteAw THANKS!! :D (For the congrats & the cuteness compliment!) Yeah everything is crazy over here, thankfully we've established a routine which makes a world of difference! My biggest adjustment is trying to figure out how to do other things because I just want to play with him all day, haha. But I suppose that's what I should be doing right now anyway!
