I used the tutorial for a DIY Chalkboard Headboard and altered it to make a hanging board.
I'm terrible at remembering to take in-progress photos!
Materials:
- chalkboard paint
- four yardsticks
- wood stain
- heavy duty hooks
- plywood cut to your dimensions (ours is 2" x 4")
- 3/4" nails
The whole thing took two days total, but that's just because we had to apply two coats of paint and let it dry overnight. Jeremy ended up doing pretty much the entire project, so I can't take much credit for it besides finding the tutorial (and helping to to hang it on the wall, because it's heavy).

That is such a lovely idea! It looks so cute in your kitchen!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great Christmas!

so cute! i'm baking sweets for gifts this year, & those gingerbread whoopie pies were high on my bookmarks, so excited to try to make them! have you tried the recipe yet?
ReplyDeleteMarja: Thank you! You too! <3
ReplyDeleteHannah: YES, MAKE THEM! I made a batch two days ago and they're already all gone, haha. I veganized them with vegan cream cheese and they were still super delicious, so I'm sure the regular version is amazing as well.
great idea :)
