Fall Romanticism

16 September 2011

Okay, how is it already the end of September? I'm suddenly terrified that fall is going to go by too quickly even though it hasn't properly begun yet. We had a few days of cool weather and now it's back in the low eighties, but still. I'm counting it.

I've been a bit obsessed lately with making a nice fall atmosphere in the house-- at the first hint of cool weather I rose the windows, and I've been baking lots of pumpkin spice-related things and keeping candles lit that remind me of fall. We've been taking lots of evening walks in the park near our house and soon I'm going to go on a flower binge and buy lots of mums for the flowerbox and it will be lovely.

Every year I go all drippy and romantic about fall, but I can't help it! It's perfect. What are you guys doing to create a fall atmosphere?

I'm still desperately trying to hold onto summer, wearing shorts as much as possible (given that I live in England and we didn't really get one this year).
Although a few leaf crunching walks have happened and I am planning a super fun halloween/bonfire night this year complete with firepit and cosy food.
You look super cute as always doll. I love your hair, it's always impeccable.

p.s I LOVE the shot of the trees growing out of the lake. Makes me think of jurassic park.

  6. I'm the same way too! I love candles so I always have them around the house. I myself can't wait to buy mums and put them in our flower box outside. It will be so wonderful. I love you outfit!you always look so pretty, the scenery looks so beautiful! I wish I had something like that around here!

  7. Not an autumn girl at all, but I guess I prefer it to winter any day! Here down under I'm looking forward to summer to kick in instead! The cold season for me is pretty much tea, tea and more tea, with candlelight...
