Busy Like A Bee

22 July 2011

I thought I should pop in and do an outfit post since I've been lacking in that department lately, and it's completely because I've been so wrapped up in painting and doing projects around the house that I haven't even been out very much since moving here. When I do go out I've been wearing the same things-- usually this purple dress or this stripey one, and then my navy shorts and this lace top in different combinations. I was wearing this top in my last outfit post, how boring of me! I blame summer (like usual).

But the good news is that our house is starting to look like an actual home which means we can have people over soon and I can start going out without feeling like I must get back home I have so very much to do. I haven't got the hang of photographing in here yet (I need to figure out what time of day gets the best light), but as soon as I do I'll post lots of progress photos. I suppose this is kind of a preview, because you get to see the living room color and our ongoing art wall, and then another little wall section that's done for now. I really am super happy with the color, I was trying to match the wall color of Obscura and think I got pretty close-- it's a very light blue/green and looks more blue or green at certain times of the day.

  1. Your wall is amazing! I think it suits you perfectly, and I totally see your inspiration behind it that you posted about earlier.

  2. Ahh thanks Isabel! <3 I'm trying to start small so we can add to it and move out from the center. I'm glad the inspiration is obvious, I think the wall color helped with that a TON.

  6. Your home is starting to look lovely. I know what you mean about wearing the same outfits. I use the excuse that I'm packing, but really it's because I'm far too comfortable. The curse of working from home!
