My friend Sarah is due with her first baby in July (his name is Jude!) and I made a package of knitted things for her. I know I've already posted a Socktopus, but I love them so much that I've made several more since then! Three are going to babies and one is for my dad, because he thought they were awesome.
I think the Greenleaf Hat is one of my favorite baby-related patterns; the last time I made baby hats for my nephew they were way too big, but I was just getting started with knitting again and didn't realize that I should have chosen smaller needles since I knit so loosely. This time around I used size 5 dpns and it turned out much smaller and more newborn-sized (I hope!)

3.5 skeins of Cotton-Ease in Taupe. I love this color because it's kind of purply-silver-brown in certain lights, which goes really well with her Enchanted Forest nursery theme.

THEY'RE JUST SO CUTE.

Oh my gosh, everything in this post is AMAZING. That blanket looking thing (I think that's what it is?) is GORGEOUS!
ReplyDeleteD'awwww, those are the CUTEST little things ever! I have a knitted octopus that I bought at a flea market, but the one thing he's missing is a set of tentacle socks and legwarmers!
ReplyDeleteEnchanted Forest nursery theme? Sounds adorable! I love the little green hat too. So cute.
ReplyDeleteHope, I love the octopus and other things you made for Jude. I get to see them in person in two weeks, along with the Enchanted Forest! Jude is my first grandchild, so I'm more than a little excited. Thank you for being such a good friend to Sarah...

@Megan Mae: Doesn't it! And aww yes I love that little leaf hat.
@Marcia: Hi Sarah's mom!! :D I'm really glad she liked everything, it was so fun to make. Sarah is so lovely and awesome, I just wish I could see her and Jude in person! I bet you're incredibly excited to get there. <3
How much would you charge for one of those? I happen to live in North Carolina and would love one!
