I'm so glad this movie is on Netflix Watch Instantly; I think I've watched it an embarrassing number of times and I don't really know why. It has a good atmosphere and a good soundtrack and I think Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning were perfectly cast, but I was never into The Runaways (although I don't really know how I missed them in my Sex Pistols days). After watching this for the first time I downloaded their discography-- I suppose that's a minor intention of movies like this. Now I just need to read Cherie Currie's memoir Neon Angel.
But anyway, the costumes! The music! It's very good.

@Isabel: Aw thanks! I missed having a big area for pictures. :) You should watch it immediately, I think you'll really like it-- and honestly even people who hate KStew seem to like her in this, I think she absolutely NAILED it. I wish she would do more characters like that (and more androgynous roles in general).
I absolutely adore this movie, but like you sometimes find it difficult to specify why. The costumes, indeed, are incredible, and I think the girls are perfectly suited to both roles, especially Kristen Stewart who I've always hoped would prove to everyone she could act when given a decent part!!
