Vintage Knitting Patterns: Part 1

Shells

Last week in Roswell we visited an antique mall and I scored a big bag of vintage knit/crochet pattern books. I love finding things like that! There are so many lovely patterns-- tons and tons of sweaters especially-- so I scanned a few of my favorites to share with you guys (I'll do the rest soon). Also, the ads are really pretty.

Please let me know if you attempt any of these! I'm super curious to know how they'll turn out, and who knows when I'll get around to trying one. I especially love the stripey dress.

It's Fun To Crochet!

This one was just a catalog of patterns instead of actual patterns, so sad. It's full of adorableness.

Along with the pattern books, there were a few crochet hooks and a set of vintage Susan Bates dpns tagging along in the bag. (The zippered pouch is useful! Very excited about the pouch):

  1. They look exciting! I'm knitting a pair of stockings from a vintage pattern at the moment - they're for a friend who's planning to wear them for her wedding. So no pressure then!

  2. I love them all!! I used to crochet shells for myself in my 20s. I got lazy, I think. I did SO MUCH in my 20s!

Do you have the patterns up somewhere? And I'm knitting now, yay!
