Roswell!!
These first pictures are from a sinkhole called The Devil's Inkwell at the Bottomless Lakes State Park, about fifteen minutes out of town. It was a complete spur-of-the-moment thing, we were just looking for a place to stop and eat lunch and kept following the signs. We actually climbed up to the edge through a small path, but I absolutely wouldn't go any further up. It was beautiful (and windy!) I definitely want to go back before we leave New Mexico.
The actual town of Roswell is such a weird/fun little place, if you're like us and like strange touristy things. We had a great time at this place called Alien Zone-- very small and old, but they have a back room full of fake aliens and silly scenarios for picture-taking. So much fun! Oh and look, I'm wearing pants. What! Lately I've been so tired of skirts, I almost feel the same way about pants that I felt about dresses and skirts when I first started wearing them a lot. They're a novelty! Hah.

I went to New Mexico a few times when I was younger. I always enjoyed doing the touristy things, including Roswell! I also liked Whites Sands and Carlsbad Caverns...so pretty.
