This is the gorgeous little '40s dress that I found in a Florida vintage shop and mentioned a couple of months ago. (At least I'm assuming it's '40s-- it seems to be almost '20s-ish but I don't know if I'm that lucky!) When Barbara, the shop owner, brought it out I fell in love (of course). I've been saving it until I actually had somewhere worthy to wear it, but I finally caved and used sushi as an excuse to wear it last night. I just love it! It's completely sheer so I can wear different colored slips underneath to give it a different look. I'm just wearing my plain old cream one here.
It's so delicate; wearing it makes me a little nervous that I'll mess it up, but mostly I just feel a bit glamorous.

ReplyDeleteThe Collar of the Dove: It's actually not fur, it's a kind of gauzy sheer material and yes it's part of the dress. It's what made me fall in love with it!
