And I absolutely loved costuming Luna Lovegood, oh dear. It was my first time actually spending a lot of time on a costume and then debuting it, so it was all very exciting. I definitely want to do it again! And I'm sorry to anyone who took my picture and it turned out bad-- I didn't get a chance to practice my Luna face/pose before I was asked for lots of pictures! I was totally taken by surprise.
The entire Wizarding World of Harry Potter was amazing, as expected. We only got to spend one day there, so I didn't take as many photos as I would have liked and didn't get to go in all the shops. But we got on all the rides-- the inside of Hogwarts is phenomonal, I cannot even describe how happy I was! The portraits move and they have replicas of everything and then you go on the most wonderful motion-simulator ride and follow Harry around on a broom and giant spiders and dementors jump out at you and I was just in heaven! I can't wait to go back.

I made everything except the spectrespecs (bought those from Etsy) and the top. I love the planet skirt, I can already see that I'll wear it a lot. My friend Quinn made fun of me because I wouldn't stop petting my wig, but it was so soft that I couldn't stop touching it! Now I really want long hair.

I think Luna would have had a fashion blog!

Honeydukes!! Shelves full of exploding bon bons and ton-tongue toffee and chocolate frogs and peppermint toads. It was so pretty!

Pumpkin juice and my bff Kalyn! I lost the little pumpkin cap. :(

What I wore to the ball: Modcloth dress, vintage lace stockings, Chinese Laundry heels, Luna accessories! Jeremy was Remus Lupin and his jacket is from Naked Vintage. His button says "I ♥ Luna Lovegood." It doesn't make a ton of sense for Luna and Remus to be together but ssh! One day we'll coordinate properly.
There are lots more photos on my Flickr-- I'm still trying to organize them!

hehe I love how you came in character, you make the perfect Luna!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to go to the HP park!
I totally agree on Luna having a fashionblog, haha. It's such a shame she didn't make her appearance in the series earlier, she's by far my favourite character. I really like your Tshirt!
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing, exactly how I imagined Luna!
ReplyDeleteIt's too bad Luna doesn't have a fashion blog, I would worship it.

ReplyDeleteYou look so adorably perfect in yr Luna costume! A couple of my good friends are huge HP fans & we might go to th park in October(last Friday we even made our own alcoholic butterbeer, which was good but way too sweet for prolonged consumption!)
ReplyDeleteYaaay thanks everyone!! I'm glad you like it. It was so incredibly fun to dress up, I can't wait to do it again.
ReplyDeleteRosie: I would worship it too!! She has the best accessories ever and doesn't care what other people think. I love her! <3
Hannah: That sounds amazing! And I think the park in October would be sooo much better than the middle of summer, haha. It was so hot. And the drinks (butterbeer and pumpkin juice) are both kind of heavy and thick and much more suited to cooler weather.
Adorable costume. :) I'm FINALLY going over to the park next week - I live hear and it's taken me this long!
