Ugh, summer. I didn't put on enough repellent before taking these photos, so mosquitoes were eating me alive through my tights. Torture!
I just wore a few favorites today to try and perk me up during this muggy heat wave-- my bright Modcloth skirt, simple gray tank, mustard tights, brown oxford flats, and octopus necklace. (I will never tire of this octopus necklace. I've had it for over two years and I wear it so much!) The blue bag is my favorite thing to grab if I need something to brighten up an outfit.
My nail polish is Sally Hansen's Back to the Fuschia by the way! Such a perfect hot pink color. And a great name.

Wow neat, did you make those radish earrings? I'm looking forward to seeing the results of your costume xD I wish we had HP conventions on Guam--it would be a great excuse to play the part of someone else on any given day besides Halloween. I'd probably go as Snape because it sounds fun to play the villain who redeems himself. And because I like dressing up like a boy, haha!

ReplyDeleteYes Valerie, I made them-- I have absolutely no idea how to do proper beading, so I just followed a tutorial and made the shape out of sculpey and then wrapped the beads around it. They're a bit on the heavy side but totally work! And haha I love Snape, some of the BEST Snapes at cons are always girls!

ReplyDeleteThose earrings are blooming fantastic. I'm also an HP nut. Luna is way cooler than Ginny and Hermione, but that's just me. I'm a bit of an oddbod. Looking forward to seeing your outfit and do we get a report on the convention? I've been to enough Star Trek ones, but never a Harry Potter one.
