Rainstorms are supposed to continue throughout the week; great for my plants, not so great for those of us who drive a scooter. Yikes. But I thought I would take advantage of the super green yard and break between storms for a little fairy-inspired photoshoot.
I found this dress on Etsy sometime around NY Fashion Week when I was so into the Marc Jacobs dreamy dresses and pale yellows. My favorite part about it is the tiny covered buttons and scalloped lace. I also finally bought a camera remote, which is totally obvious in most of these photos! Oops.

And a normal one:

Dress, Fruit Salad Vintage
Vintage silver heels, Songbird Industries
Target patterned tights
Disco bracelet, Florida vintage shop
Rose ring, New Orleans shop
Urban Outfitters headband

Oooh, I like it! The yellow looks lovely with the blue. Ugh, you're making me want to cut my hair and buy wigs! Damn you! ;)

ReplyDeleteOooh, in that wig you remind me enormously of the faerie on the original jacket cover of Holly Black's 'Tithe'...have you read it? Another great teen adult faerie/fantasy read!
ReplyDeleteI love the dress, delicate and the colour is very feminine. Your pixie cut looks wonderful with the collar/neckline. Cute!
you know, the wig looks wicked on you, but i just can't get over how amazing your hair looks in that style!
ReplyDeleteit suits you absolutely perfectly, and i don't think you could say that about too many people with a pixie cut.

you have the most versatile face!
ReplyDeletei need to incorporate more yellow in my wardrobe, too.
Helen: Ahaha thank you! Trust me, if I could afford long blue extensions I would be all over this.
ReplyDeleteMagatha-May: That's such a compliment to me! I think our faces are kind of similar and the bright hair just pushes it over the edge, haha.
kater: HAHA that is amazing!! I swear I favorited and stared at it off and on for hours that day, and then just went for it. I would have been totally okay if you got it first though!! <3
Amanda: They do! It's a spray for synthetic wigs and I really, really need to pick some up. It's just been sitting on my mannequin, but it's still so tangly.
Diane: You really do! I highly recommend wigs, they change your whole attitude.
pkjb: <3! I'll be dressing as her soon, so yay!
Eyeliah: Do it!
Haley: <3 <3
golightlycat: I haven't read it but now I totally will. I love recs in that genre. :D And thanks!
Leah: Thank you so much!! I definitely love it short.
Diana: Ahh thank you! I think I have such a weirdo face, but I really do look so different with the wig.
The wig is amazing! Can you put it up in pigtails? Cause I think it would look really cute in pigtails with a slight school girl look.
