Last week I was able to dig out from under my sudden mountain of schoolwork to take a quick trip to the thrift store, and look what I found! A little '60s wool dress and a perfecto denim romper. They're both in such great condition-- I almost fell over when I saw the dress, just hanging out, like it was nothing special. And it's so SOFT!
Of course it's already gotten to warm to even think about wearing it, so I think I'll just put it up and think nice thoughts about it until fall. Although I have a feeling the romper is going to be getting loads of mileage this spring and summer, oh boy.
And speaking of rompers-- would anyone like to buy a Dolce Vita Sequined Romper, size small? I just bought it from Gilt and it's gorgeous and sparkly and just what I wanted, but too big and non-returnable because it was a final sale. Brand new, $57 plus $10 shipping, international buyers welcome (and I'll reimburse if the shipping is cheaper). Email me: pansylanelove at gmail dot com! MWAH!

Such gorgeous finds! I love them both, but the denim romper will be so wonderful for the warmer weather... I can imagine it with a striped tee underneath, bare legs and cute leather sandals! Lovely stuff.
ReplyDeleteOh such cute finds...so fulfilling to find good vintage clothing. The rompers are everywhere this season.
ReplyDeleteUtterly adorable dress you found, the collar, the little pockets!!
ReplyDeleteWow, that dress is amazing, I can't wait to see how you wear it!
ReplyDeleteThat '60s dress is such an amazing find!! You lucky girl, the thrifting gods were with you that day.
ReplyDeleteThis is a late reply to something you said a while ago but...seven rejection letters/e-mails?! That is so discouraging; I haven't even been looking for a job, to be quite honest. I'm just not ready to be out in the work world. I think I need a little break from everything that is work and academic related after my last semester is over (two weeks, eeeeeeee) and just hang out. Of course, I can do this because my parents are awesome and let me stay at their house rent-free so I'm going to take advantage of it for a few more months until I'm ready to work. I had an inkling I wasn't ready when all I would do at my internship at a branch library is daydream about what else I could be doing. Don't get me wrong, I loved working in the library environment but everything else at the moment just seems so much more...fun and inviting. I desperately need a break.
I love that brown dress
