The Isabel Sweater

Thrifted '80s sweater, Target dress, Sock Dreams tights, vintage granny boots, thrifted '60s bag

Yes, our town has bear statues. Lots and lots of bear statues.

This sweater makes me feel like Isabel from Hipster Musings? and I love it. If anyone knows how to wear big, weirdo sweaters and make them look like something you need in your life immediately, it's her!

I thrifted this one while visiting my parents over Christmas; as far as oversized, oddly patterned sweaters go it's kind of perfect. It's soft and long and has big front pockets that I can jam my hands into when I start to get nervous about what to do with them (which happens often) and it's cuddly enough to fulfill the purpose of a fluffy mohair sweater. It's probably going in the shop in a couple of weeks, but I couldn't resist getting at least one wear out of it!

Whenever I see novelty sweaters in thrift stores I think of Isabel too! But you can pull off the look too--so jealous of you girls with cute short haircuts. :)

I think I may have the same black Target dress as you. :) Good luck this semester! Have classes started for you yet? I'm taking two and they're both tonight. No YA lit, sadly. Sighh.

You have such a pretty, inspirational blog. I like novelty jumpers too, in fact I am wearing one right now.

Rhiannon: Haha exactly! She is the main inspiration regarding those things. And yay thank you!

Lauren: Oh awesome! I've had that thing forever and can't seem to stop wearing it. I miss YA lit. :( This semester I only have two-- Management of Info Organizations & Metadata. It's so freaky to remember this is my last semester! :/

Jayne: Thanks! It's pretty perfect as far as weird, abstract sweaters go, haha.

Dear Mrs. E: Thank you!! This is the first time I've seen one as crazy as this, despite being on the lookout for ages.

Isabella: Aww thank you so much! :) I think they're so fun.

Isabel: Ahaha I'm glad! I would hate to talk about you in a post and then have you hate the thing, but I had a sneaking suspicion you'd be into it. :D And thank you darling!

Little Monarch: Haha thanks!

Sarah: Aw thanks so much! Yay!
