Normal hair again! It almost feels strange after being blue all week.
Actually I finally cut and dyed it properly-- for the last few months I've been using black henna from Lush to dye my hair, but I couldn't take it anymore and had to go back to my normal dye. It was fine and all (and I love that it's not made from bad chemicals, of course!) but didn't totally cover my blonde roots and gave bits of my hair a red tint. I liked that it looked more natural, but I can't stand having visible roots and a brownish/blackish/red situation going on. I think henna would be good to use every now and then, and maybe if I really pack it on my roots and leave it for a long time it would work better.
I feel a bit sailor-y in this outfit, hence the Boosh quote! The dress was originally quite long and unflattering, so I shortened it into a mini (of course). I like how it looks like a romper but isn't. And the red heels are definitely the highest I own, yikes!

oh, what a cute and lovely outfit - I really like the combination of the dress and the shoes.
ReplyDeleteand the boosh *sigh* ('the future is dead, retro is the new thing, sir').

Gorgeous outfit! Love the hair, I've been considering dyeing mine black.

ReplyDeleteI LOVE YOUR HAIR!!!! I have been wanting to go red. The blue & red in your outfit is fab.
ReplyDelete♥ ♥!
ReplyDeletecheshirestreetcat: Haha hello! :D Oh I love the Boosh so much, I have to restrain myself from referencing them in every blog post.
Rosie Unknown: Thanks! I would def. recommend henna for someone dying it black for the first time. It would probably end up much more dark chocolately brown and not as harsh.
Jayne: Oh I love them even though I suck at walking in them!
Kelley Anne: More of a dark blonde, my roots are always that ashy color. When I shaved my head I fully intended to try to grow it out natural, but ugh it's way too boring!
Aya: Thank you!! ^.^
Leproust Vintage: Thanks! Yeah it was originally super long and weird and had been sitting in my to-hem pile so long that I forgot about it! It was a happy discovery.
Mars: Aw thank you! Oh goodness, I didn't fall in those shoes but I had to take really super small steps, haha. I need to practice.
Marmelindela: Thanks! :) That's probably my favorite color combination.
Diana: Awww Diana! <3 <3 <3 Love!
Claradevi: Haha me too! Everything is always too long or a little too wide. Thank you so much! <3
losile: I had to get them just for that purpose!
yigin: Aww thank you!! :)
Ahhh, yes! I totally got your Mighty Boosh quote before you even mentioned it! I feel special. :)
ReplyDeleteThat dress is heavenly! What a find and you did a great job hemming it.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea either that you're a natural blonde. I totally thought you had naturally black hair! You just look like you should.
OMG I LOVE YOUR RED SHOES!
ReplyDeleteThat outfit is perfection!
