And we're off on our trip!
Well not quite-- we're in our hometown right now because we had to drop off Weetzie and Sisyphus (dog and cat) with the parents, so all of those pics (except the first one with the luggage) are from my parent's house. Very green! We're leaving super early in the morning and taking the day to kind of drive all leisurely and stop off at interesting places instead of hurrying straight through, so we'll be in New Orleans on Friday morning. I can't waaait!
I'll be back on the 22nd, and I'll be making a few posts here and there while I'm in New Orleans and Florida so that I don't feel all neglectful. And hopefully I can upload pictures to Flickr as I go so that I don't have to sort through a billion when I get back, but who knows how that will go.
PS: Look! Collecting vintage luggage isn't a useless hobby after all!

I love your shoes! and your dress! have fun and be back safe!
ReplyDeleteAMAZING dress, omg. And I'm really jealous of that cardigan; I've bought a few like that even though I KNOW they won't work on me, there's always very harlequin-novel bodice-ripping going on, with my heaving bosom or whatever, no matter how much I try not to breathe. Or move. :/ They're fantastico on you, though. And hey, no tights!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a really good trip! Spoil the hell out of yourself. Gorge on beignets and chicory coffee every single morning, maybe even twice. Oh man, I just thought of jambalaya for the first time, so far I've just been thinking of all the PASTRIES you'll get. Oh man. So, yeah, I lost my train of thought. Delightful trip! Throw some pennies at a crossroad, listen to good music. Be happy. I love youuu.
[ps, I feel like I should maybe apologize for always leaving this kinda-crazy kinda-novel comments? haha. hm. Well, you know.]
Diana: Aww thank you, and yes I will!! :D
ReplyDeletePhoebe: Ahaha yes I've never really have to worry about any kind of heaving bosom situations! And oh gosh, I'm so excited about everything and the food is one of the main things! I can't wait for a big pile of crawfish and oysters and nom nom nomm. Seafood is my most favorite food in the world so eating there is just a constant happy time for me. And I can't wait to go to Cafe du Monde again, because those beignets are sooooo addictive. If I lived there I would balloon up since I have no self control and would eat them everyday. And don't be SILLY, you know huge novel-like comments are my absolute favorite kind of comment! I get all excited when I see that you've left one. ^.^
I LOVE your vintage style! I sure can't pull it off but you look amazing! I used to have the same haircut as you too! Except mine is growing out and starting to look weird.
