The garden party dress

Photobucket
Dress: '70s, Etsy
TIghts: Target
Shoes: '60s- Flashbax Vintage, Wilmington NC
Bag: '80s Dooney & Bourke, thrifted by my mom
Bracelet: fake pearl necklace, yard sale

I bought this dress a while ago and that's what the seller had named it-- "garden party dress." How perfect! Lately we've been very into the garden we have going on the back porch.. lots of flowers, herbs, and this summer I'm going to try growing a few vegetables in containers which I'm ridiculously excited about! So far I've started some tomatoes and onions inside and I'm hoping that they'll sprout and hang in there until I can transplant them. Being around the flowers makes me a silly amount of happy, really... I just love looking at them. Gerbera daisies are probably the happiest looking flowers ever. I feel like I should name them.

Anyway, back to the outfit. A couple of weeks ago I realized that I needed lots and lots of faux pearls, and over the weekend I found a pile of them at a yard sale. And the lady gave them to me for free! It was hot and she was ready to pack up, I think.

Lots of pansies of course. :)

There are lots more apartment photos on my Flickr! :)
