(Excuse my cat being a creepster in the background!)
This is my new favorite carry-all bag, found on Etsy a few weeks ago. It’s big enough to hold my moleskine and a book (and wallet and keys, etc.) without being oversized at all, which is good because I have enough of those. It’s all sleek and mod and shiny, yay! I’ve been obsessed with finding a vintage eelskin bag for a while, ever since I favorited one on Etsy and then someone else bought it (boo). I don't really know what I like about it so much-- I think it's just the shininess. This is my first eelskin anything, and eeeeeelskin just sounds so sexy I can’t stand it.
A little de-glamorizing: Most “Eelskin” things are actually made from the hagfish, which is pretty much one of the most disgusting things, dear lord. Lots of slime and worminess is involved and also the tendency to eat dead animals from the inside out, so yes. Let’s just ignore that. Look how pretty!
Also-- these comfy little vintage slip-ons were from the haul in my last post, but I forgot to include them! Actually I could only find one and thought I must have left the other at my parent’s house, and I didn’t want to take a picture of just one because that felt silly. So here they are, $1 from my fave thrift store, the evil twin found hiding under the driver’s seat of the car:
